The Invisalign Treatment Process

Invisalign clear aligners offer a convenient treatment option for straightening your smile with fewer hassles than traditional metal braces.

Step 1

Book Your First
Consultation

Your dentist will begin by examining your smile to determine if Invisalign is right for you. Next, we will use our digital scanner to create a detailed 3D image of your smile and show you what it could look like after Invisalign treatment.

Step 2

Develop a Custom
Treatment Plan

Based on the decisions made during your consultation, your dentist will map out a precise Invisalign treatment plan. Your plan will include the exact movement of your teeth that will occur with each set of aligners and anticipated timelines.

Step 3

Begin Your Custom
Treatment Plan

A series of clear custom aligners will be created just for you. You will wear them for 20-22 hours each day, removing them to eat, drink, brush and floss. As treatment progresses, your aligners will gradually shift your teeth.

Step 4

Switch Your Aligners
Every Two Weeks

Approximately every 2 weeks, or as prescribed by your dentist, you will switch to the next set of clear aligners in your series. You will also have brief checkups with your dental team – every six weeks or so – to review your progress.

Step 5

Maintain Your
Brand New Smile

Congratulations on your straight new smile! It's an exciting day when you reach the end of your treatment. During your final appointment, we will discuss the next steps, and prescribe retainers to hold your teeth in their new corrected positions.
